For dinner I made eggplant parmesean. It was delicious. It was the first time I’ve cooked eggplant for myself (see picture). Don’t tell anyone, though, but I cheated–instead of breading the eggplant myself I used Shake N’ Bake.
Every day something new is sort of added to the heap recently. What I mean is, I think I’m going to have a very, very busy month or so ahead of me.
The biggest thing is that submissions for this year’s IU Student Film Festival are April 1, so we’re going to try to film an entire episode (20-24 minutes) in the month of February…that’s very ambitious and we’ll only pull it off if we really are committed and are willing to sacrifice lesser priorities every now and then to get work done. But I’m excited…enough that even if I have to do most of the work myself (again) I’d still do it.
But I’ve also got all my classes and all that obviously entails. And I’ve also signed up to take the LSAT on February 12. And there’s talk of potentially going to Ohio next weekend to see a really high class dance performance.
Well, anyway, I’ll probably still update because it’s sort of something I do fo fun, not work. I’ll take breaks from writing a paper so that I can write a topic. Anyway, today is the last day in January, right? Well, I was quite impressed with myself when I realized that I began this journal on January 9. Now, 22 days later, I have a total of 22 journal entries posted, and, I’m quite proud of this, 21 Topics. The topics are typically pretty elaborate, so I’m glad to see I’m keeping up.
In fact, one of the first things I talked about in the journals was my new years resolutions. Well, how’m I doing with those? We’ll check up on things and then…I’m totally making some New Month’s Resolutions.
To review, here were my New Year’s resolutions:
- Floss
- Stretch everyday ’till I’m mad flexible
- Go on a date a month
- Go to at least 3 arts performances a month
- Keep up this online autobio
So, I have flossed everyday. I have gone on a date in the past month. I have gone to exactly 3 arts performance (a baroque concert, a piano and violin recital, and a dance performance). And, as I just discussed, I have kept up the online autobio.
But, well, I haven’t stretched a whole lot. I guess that one will carry over to next month. Here are next month’s resolutions–keeping in mind that all of the new year’s ones still apply.
- Stretch everyday ’till I’m mad flexible.
- Listen to and learn more musicals.
- Give and do more for charity.
- And, finally, on Drew’s suggestion, “be more extroverted.”
Boy, Drew knew exactly where to go to find the change that I want most but that I also fear most. Well, it’s in stone now. It’s published–it’s bonafide. We’ll see how it goes. See ya suckas.
